Artistic Statement

Tourments Nécessaires explores the relationship between dreams, spirituality, and self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from the symbolic language of visions and nightmares, the work challenges the instinctive fear often associated with the unknown. Rather than presenting dreams as sources of anxiety, the piece invites audiences to view them as opportunities for reflection, revelation, and personal growth.

Through shifting dynamics, layered movement, and moments of tension and release, the dancers embody the delicate boundary between fear and understanding. The work suggests that by confronting what unsettles us, we may uncover deeper truths about ourselves and the world around us.
