Abdul Sanz is a Haitian-born choreographer, performer, and educator based in New York. Trained at École de Danse Joelle Donatien Belot in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he combines contemporary dance, ballet, and Haitian movement traditions to create work that explores identity, belonging, resilience, and human connection. Sanz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Hofstra University, where he created seven original choreographic works and performed works by renowned choreographers including Janice Rosario, Adam Barruch, Robin Becker, and Fredrick Earl Mosley. His work has been presented at Hofstra University, New York University, and the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater. As an educator, he teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, Haitian folklore, and composition, fostering confidence, artistry, and creative exploration in dancers of all backgrounds.
